2016 Rose
We Present Our 2016 Dry Rosé Lineup
Yes, we were doing it before it was cool.  We've been evangelists of Dry rose from the time we opened Cork 'n Cap 13 years ago.  People back then were resistant to try it because it looks too much like its sweeter siblings, white zinfandel and even more dubious "blush" wines.  Now that we can venture outdoors without a jacket, these flavorful and refreshing wines are ready to show off.  When it's too hot for red, these versatile wines will pair with just about any food.

New $99 Wooden Crate Special
There is no mistaking this for anything else but traditional Bordeaux red.  The French call it "Terroir".  If you were to blend 60% Merlot with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon grown anywhere else on the planet it will not be the same. The moderate temperatures of 2015 gave this wine a nicely balanced structure and relatively low alcohol by today's standards at just 12.5%.   That is what makes Chateau L' Eglise Saget such a value at $9.99 a bottle or $99 for a case of 12 in its very own versatile wooden crate.

Interesting Article About The Michigan Beer Industry In The New Michigan Beer Guide
Read this article and you will learn that the Bell's Brewery produced more beer last year than all of the Michigan breweries combined did in 2010 and has become the nation's 7th largest brewery while paradoxically losing market share of craft beer sales in Michigan.  See where your favorite Michigan brewery ranks in volume and just how much the overall industry has grown in the past 20 years.  See the complete article at http://www.michiganbeerguide.com/ or visit Cork 'n Cap for a free old fashioned paper copy of this always interesting periodical.

“After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible thing in the world.” ― Oscar Wilde
