Our Next CorkBoard Wine Tasting
At Bella Notte Ristorante
Wednesday  February 20th,7:30PM

Shane Nicholson, Certified Sommelier and State Sales Manager for Eagle Eye Brands, will take us on a guided tour of West Coast wine country, featuring a special selection from their portfolio of estate produced wines from California, Oregon, and Washington.  Among the wines we will be tasting we will be two from upstart California producer I recently visited, Reata, along with Washington's Airfield Estates, and Lange Estate Winery in the Dundee Hills of Oregon, just to name a few.  This will be one of our "classic" sit-down tastings, where we will pour through 10 wines at your table.   
 
Tickets are still available at just $15 per person and available only at Cork 'n Cap, while they last.
 
 
 
Cork 'n Cap Wine Feature of the Month:  
Anciano 5 Year Crianza Reserva 

 This Spanish Crianza Reserva is, without a doubt, my current favorite wine under $10. It is from the 2006 vintage, which is the current release of this wine.  It has been aged for five years in the cellars of Bodegas Navalon in the small DO Valdepeñas, located in the heart of Spain. Bodegas Navalon has been the passion of the same local family for several generations. Anciano Aged 5 Years is a mellow, smooth wine thanks to the quality of the fruit and long aging in barrel.  This is a great wine to have with heartier winter fare, such as stews, roasts and other red meats, and mature cheeses.  Cork 'n Cap has this wine on sale in February for just $9.49 per bottle or $96.80 per case.  Check our in-house wine tasting schedule for an opportunity to try before you buy.

Cork 'n Cap Will Be Brewing At The Fair Grounds On March 9th
The 3rd Annual Southern Michigan Winter Beer Festival is scheduled for Saturday March 9th at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.  We will again be demonstrating the ease of home brewing by boiling up a batch during the event.  Ticket information available at the following link: http://startickets.com/event.php?event=3450
